NCDC June Urban Design Forum: Grow Eat Repeat

The Nashville Civic Design Center's June Urban Design Forum, "Grow, Eat, Repeat," features a diverse panel of professionals that will discuss food systems throughout Nashville including; sustainable farming practices, improving healthy food access, and the effort to diminish food waste.

This event spawned from NCDC's recent publication, Shaping the Healthy Community: The Nashville Plan. The book identifies food resources as one of the key elements to a healthy city.  Some of the Health promoting factors in the book include; increased and easy food accessibility, affordable and accessible healthy food options, and limited food waste.

What is an Urban Design Forum?

Urban design forums are monthly events hosted by NCDC that promote cross-disciplinary understanding of urban design amongst urban professionals; raise awareness of the benefits of urban design; provide a forum for discussion of design-based approaches that are relevant to the development and management of Nashville's neighborhoods and the city as a whole.
