David Perry, CEO of DSP Group and co-owner of Nashville brand Two Son. The DSP Group specializes in assisting both new and existing brands in the fashion and apparel industry with their product design as well as sourcing and production needs. Specialists within the Group include some of the industries best contractors, producers, fashion/apparel designers, branding consultants and marketing strategists.
Thomas Gaddis is Technical and Fashion Designer, and a partner in Factory Girls Atlanta. Early on in his career, Thomas developed a passion for product development and textiles. During his junior year at Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia, Thomas interned at Maria Harper Designs where he worked on a myriad of privately commissioned pieces for entertainers. Over his career, Thomas has honed his technical skills and eye for design through pattern development, sewing samples, and sourcing textiles. Over the next two years, Thomas would further his technical design skills while working as Fashion Production Assistant for YSS Athletics. Looking to further his ability to better serve and support the emerging designer community, Thomas joined The Factory Girls Atlanta in October of 2014.
Jay Arbetman and his company The Sourcing District, are a preeminent supplier of fabrics, buttons, zippers and garment construction necessities to independent designers. Jay started his career in the 1960's, picking orders in the family coat factory. Living in New York for ten years, he worked on 7th Avenue and went to night school at Fashion Institute of Technology. Jay has a rich history in the garment industry, lives and works in Chicago, IL., and serves as a knowledgeable resource to independent brands all over the country.
Annette Medcalf is an accomplished apparel industry professional and educator with an excellent record of achievement in many segments of the industry including product development, technical design, manufacturing, finance and operations, and retail. Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Annette attended O'More College of Design in Franklin, TN. With over 30 years of industry experience, she has had the opportunity to work and play with some industry leading companies including The Gap, Banana Republic, JC Penny, Target, Izod, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Champion Athletics, and VF to name a few. In addition to working with the NFL and NBA in team outfitting, she was also a member of the design team for outfitting the 1994 Lillehammer, and 1996 Atlanta Olympic athletes. She currently shares her depth of knowledge as a Professor of Practice at O’More College of Design, and works as a consultant and mentor to the local fashion industry.
